A Little Trip To: Amsterdam

Hello Lovelies,

On the 15th September me and Josh went to Amsterdam for a little birthday get away, I've always wanted to go and especially after our little stop off there before we went to Italy in May, I thought that for my 21st it was the idea city break!

We stayed at the Lloyd cultural embassy Amsterdam, the hotel is set in the Eastern Docklands Area which is about a 10 minute tram ride from the centre of Amsterdam. It was so quaint and quiet, but with plenty of little bars and restaurants in the surrounding areas. We didn't spend that much time in the hotel it's self as it was only a few minutes away from the centre, we were mostly out exploring Amsterdam.

Amsterdam its self if a lovely city with all the quint shops, canals and various things to do. It's very compact so its quite easy to get to where ever you need to be either on foot which we did mostly or by tram or even by bike which seemed to be how every one got around. They all have old fashioned styled bikes, i loved it!

We had a few things we wanted to do in mind before we went and one was the Anne Frank house. We wanted to book online before hand but we just couldn't get the tickets so we decided to go as soon as it opened at 9 and we were in there by half past so if you can't get tickets before hand I'd say definitely try and go as soon as it opens. The exhibition is superb, It's certainly very moving and its hard not to get caught up with emotion of her story and how horrendous it would of been for her and her family.

We also went to the ice bar in Amsterdam and oh boy it was a chilling experience, i was not dressed for the occasion as it was so hot all week there that I didn't even think to dress warm for it! After the ice bar we had booked a pizza canal cruise, it was so lovely and a chilled way to see the city during the evening.

After spending the week there, I have to say that I love Amsterdam its by far one of my favourite cities, it has so much to offer. I'd definitely go back again!

Here are a few pictures from our trip!

The View from our room!

 Cocktails in the ice bar.

Trying not to think about how unbelievable cold it is!

Little stop at a place called Grass-hopper which is right near the centre.

Hope you all have a great day!

A Little Trip To Florence

    Hello lovelies,

Hope you are all well?! It's been a little while since I last posted a month to be exact (slaps wrists). It's been a bit of a busy month for me with work being so busy lately it's been horrendous and my maths lessons during the week, it felt like I had no time on my hands to do anything. But at the end of May I had a holiday to look forward too, and to de stress from the madness of daily life.  On the 25th we flew out to Florence for the week. We weren't just there for a little holiday but also for Josh's friends wedding. oh my it was amazing, not only the place they picked for us to stay and have the ceremony but the day it's self was flawless, from the brides and bridesmaids dresses to the table pieces, it was such a beautiful day. I'd never been to Italy before and I have well and truly fallen in love with the place and the people but most importantly the food!! It was a lovely week spent with some lovely people and I wish I was still there sipping on cocktails in the sun and eating my body weight in food.

Here are a few pictures I snapped during the week.

Having a chilled afternoon by the pool.

The view from mine and josh's room,. it was outstanding.

Having a little wonder around florence and spotted the famous bridge with all the shops on.

More pretty views of Florence.

Sneaky wedding selfie before the ceremony.

The bride and groom returning to our villa. Both looking so content and I just cant get over how beautiful her dress was.

My little table setting and gift.

Me and Josh by the fountain in one of the main squares.

I made a sneaky purchase in the airport on the way home. I've been lusting after the rayban clubmasters for so long so I couldn't say no to duty free!

On our last day in Florence, Josh decided to treat me to something I've wanted for a little while and to make it even more special the charm is of the Florence crest so I don't forget our first amazing  holiday away together (:

Hope you all have a lovely day and i shall see you all soon!
