Take it easy, lift your feet up off the burning ground

Hello Everyone,

On Christmas eve, I popped out to get a few last bits and pieces from Sainsburys before the big day and I under estimated how crazy people get with food at Christmas all I wanted was a few more tubes of pringles! Last week I finally got my leather jacket I'd been undecided about this one from Topshop for a while as the regular ones were just that tiny bit short, but whilst pottering around the tall section I noticed the same jacket, there was only one left in my size so I had to snap it up, And I absolutely love it! I've wanted a bowler hat for a long time and spotted this one from H&M for £7.99 total bargain! I also picked up this crochet skull jumper its not something I would normally go for but I actually really like it, its so cosy and the detail in the crochet is so pretty!

Nails Models Own Hedonist

I thought I would do something different today and do an outfit post! I came home from work last night and just decided to take a photo of what I was wearing. I will be working on lighting and finding the right place to take them but here's the first outfit post! I snapped these shorts up from a charity shop for £2.50 and I love them! I wore them to death during the summer and they haven't seen the light of day since so I pulled them out from their hibernated state wiped the cob webs off and teamed them with this cosy chunky knitted jumper.

Clothes Show Haul!

Hello!

After four and a half hours of intense shopping and managing to get threw the sea of people my arms could no longer carry any more! So here are the few things I got.

First thing I picked up was this jelly pong pong set I'd bought a few jelly pong pong before and quite liked the products. I was really intrigued by this wide awake pallet and the fairy lashes mascara.

Next I spotted the Models Own stand and the massive crowd surrounded it, I managed to squeeze my way through. You had to pick two polishes you liked and then you'd get a goody bag for £10 which was a total bargain with what you got inside! 

I also picked up this collection goody bag, i just spotted the stand from the corner of my eye and for a £5 goodie bag, you got a few nice things. 

Everyone know my love for the Barry M nail polishes and after seeing so many people with their goody bag, I immediately needed it.. there are a few nice things in here but some things I'm quite disappointed would be in the goody bag.  

This little one was a freebie right at the end of the show. I love the dove conditioner and having the bigger bottle of it already was thrilled to have a little one to have to take away with me! 

I also picked up a free book! I was on the look for a new book to read and my sister spotted this book stand and they were giving this book away, after reading the description on the back I think its going to be an interesting read. 

Finally on to clothes I didn't go crazy with the clothes this time as there wasn't much I wanted but I did pick up these really nice tops from oh my love clothing.

Also from oh my love I picked up these faux leather shorts and I just love them their so pretty can't wait to where this with a chunky jumper! 

The final thing I picked up was this white lace dress, I've always wanted a white lace skater dress and spotted this on a £5 stand and just had to have it! 

I didn't go over board this year I managed to contain my self, but I'm pleased with some of the bargains I picked up!

Clothes Show Live

Hello Lovelies!

On the 8th of December I was up bright and early and on a coach making my way to the NEC in Birmingham for the Clothes Show. This was my 4th time at the event and I still absolutely love it, Its fashion and beauty heaven all in one place, bliss! The fashion show this year was based on a day in the life of a magazine from castings to fashion shows to shoots, everything you would do within a fashion magazine.

I spent money.. again.

On one of my many trips to superdrug and boots before I start work I picked up a few things, I haven't been spending much lately as I wanted to save some for the clothes show which I went to over the weekend, shall post all about it soon! I've been getting in to wearing more on my lips lately, so I popped over to boots and picked up a few of these 17 berry crush lip tints, and I must say for £4.99 they are quite good they have a really nice rage of colours too, I picked up this burgundy and this pinky colour, their are both so pretty on the lips and very wearable. I also picked up another Kate Moss matte lipstick in shade 107 and I simple love this lipstick, its a gorgeous burgundy colour its so lovely on, so pretty. I can't wait to get some more from the collection and other brands matte lipsticks too! I then had a wonder over to super drug and picked up a few things from sleek. First is this creme to powder oil free foundation and after a few applications I do quite like it, its not amazing but I do like it however my hunt for a good high street foundation continues.. I finally got this corrector and concealer palette I initially wanted to get one of their eye shadow palettes but there was barely any in my local superdrug. The kit contains a concealer, corrector and powder, the concealer and corrector are really creamy and very easy to apply and blend, the powder is a little yellow but if applying a small amount its unnoticeable. I'm glad I picked this handy little kit.

NOTD

Over the last few days, I've seen my self reach for this Gelly hi-shine nail paint from Barry M, I picked this up a few weeks ago but have only just got round to using and I must say I'm really liking this colour a lot! Its such a pretty bottle green, perfect for this season too. I really like the formulation of this Gelly hi-shine nail paint, it apply's really nicely and is very pigmented, I can't wait to pick some more up! Also this colour really reminds me of an old nail polish from top shop called beyond the sea, the colours are practically the same, the topshop one is just that slightly bit darker.

Who wants to wrap around your dreams

Here are a few things I've been admiring lately and as Christmas is round the corner wouldn't mind getting my hands on.. hint hint. 1- Every one knows Estee Lauder double wear is amazing and after having to be a guinea pig for my friends make up course she used double wear light on me and I simply fell in love with how it made my skin look! 2- I love Benefits blushes and Hervana is by far my favourite. the swirl of different complimentary colours leave such a pretty rosy glow. 3- When La Vie Est Belle first came out I was given a tiny little sample of it and used it within a few days! The smell is soo pretty and sophisticated, just couldn't get enough of it! 4- I've been having some awful break outs lately, my skin is just not loving what I'm using on it at the minute and I've heard good things about origins super spot remover. 5- Can't have a wish list without nail polish can we.. I've been admiring the Opi Sky Fall collection and I just love the colour of casino Royale, its gorgeous! I used http://www.beautysets.com to create this wish list.

Tis The Season

December is just around the corner so that means party season is soon approaching and its time to find that perfect dress for those festive parties! 

Here are a few I've picked out which will be ideal for any outing in the weeks to come! 

1- This Black chiffon flippy dress from Top Shop is the perfect little black dress with gogeous details on the collar and around the waist which makes this such an eye catching dress. I couldn't find a better LBD it has all the things you would want in a black dress and more its simply yet chic!

2- You cant have Christmas with out a bit of colour, especially red. I've picked out this little number from H&M. This dress is soo pretty its ideal for any occasion team this with some killer heels and accessories and you'll be away. Also at only £14.99 a total bargain for a fabulous festive dress!

3-  I do love a LBD at Christmas but I think I've fallen in love with this gorgeous maxi dress from River Island .The detail in the top is stunning especially with the simplicity of the skirt just makes this dress even more amazing. You wouldn't need to have any statement pieces with this it will simply do the talking its self at any Christmas do.

The Christmas Tag!

I've seen this tag go around on a few blogs and as I'm soo excited for Christmas I thought I would give this a go!

What is your favourite thing about Christmas?

I  just love Christmas! I love the atmosphere around this time of year, every ones getting soo excited! Walking through the city just as it gets darks and seeing all the Christmas lights and decorations come to light. The amount of food and nibbles you have at Christmas too! And just having cosy nights in with the family as the big day approaches! Its exciting! 

What is your favourite make up look for the festive season?

This year I'm really liking the darker lips trend, so over the last week or so I've been mainly having dark lips and basic face.

Real tree or fake tree?

Since i was little we've always had a fake tree, as there's four of us running around think it was just easier! We would all take part in putting the decorations on, one by one putting our favourite on first.

Giving presents or receiving presents?

Both! I do prefer giving presents, I always go over the top with gifts and this year is no different, can't wait to see people faces!

Do you open your Christmas presents morning or evening?

When I was younger we would get a sack at the bottom of my bed full of goodies and being so excited and just couldn't wait we would all get together ridiculously early and open them, then go back to bed and open the ones under the tree at about 8. Now a days its not so early..  

Handmade Christmas cards or bought?

I generally buy handmade ones from this cute little shop called belly button fluff, their cards are adorable! 

What is your favourite Christmas film?

Oh i have so many, Love actually, Elf, The holiday are my top three favourites to watch. 

What is your favourite Christmas food?

Turkey sandwich's on boxing day best things to much out on!

Over the last few weeks I have been loving this gorgeous navy from Barry m. This is such a pretty deep blue with a small hint of purple which makes this colour even more gorgeous, I just cant get enough of wearing it!

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Conditioner Review

This express treatment conditioner from dove I cant rave about enough, I love it! After dip dying my hair a few months ago, I had been noticing that it had started to get quite dry and very undernourished I'd heard a lot about using oils in your air to keep it healthy but as my hair can get greasy quite quickly I didn't want anything to oily, then I spotted this on Blue October blog and thought why not try oil in a conditioner. The product its self has gold and white stripes through it, the gold contains nutri-oils with argan, coconut and almond oils which are suppose to smooth, nourish and replenish essential nutrients and the white stripe contains a treatment that seals cuticles to lock in nutrients. After using this my hair feels a lot more nourished, healthy and smooth, and over the last few weeks I've noticed that my hair had felt a lot stronger, this has become my must have conditioner for my hair and I couldn't bare to be without it!

Blistex Daily Lip Conditioner Review

On one of my many trips to boots during last week I picked up this Blistex daily lip conditioner. I get very dry lips during the cooler months so anything to keep them in tip top condition I am all for. This balm contains olive, grape seed oils and also aloe vera which after trying this for the past few days, my lips have been feeling soo much healthier and hydrated. The product doesn't feel to thick or greasy on the lips, its very soothing and moisturising shall defiantly be repurchasing this and I would  recommend this to any of you who also suffer with very dry lips too.

A Little Haul

Hello Lovelies!

Whilst trying to get my Christmas shopping started, I picked up a few little things for my self..

I popped into boots and picked up a fair few things, starting with some neutrogena products, I'd tried out their plain visibly clear oil free moisturiser and really liked it, and heard good things about the grapefruit one so going to give this one a try. Also from their visible clear range I got their 2in1 wash and mask, I've tried it a few times, and as a mask I really like it! I Finally have had my brace off after nearly two years and this white glo tooth paste was one of my first purchases, I want to look after my teeth more now after having it off and as i drink a lot of tea and coffee I thought this would help keep them clean and sparkling white! I picked up a few nail polishes I know I really don't need any more.. but I really wanted to try out the new Barry M Gelly high shine nails, so picked up this one in watermelon, and I love the colour, its a  deep bottle green, its soo pretty!  I also picked up this silver glitter, and have worn it over a nude MUA nail polish and its soo lovely together. 

  

I picked up a few winter warmers from primark, these pyjama bottoms are soo comfy, I love the prints on them too. Primark always has a really good selection of sleep wear and for £5 each I couldn't say no! I love getting cute pattern socks around Christmas and these ones from H&M are so cosy, shall be picking some more of these up!

Holidays Are Coming!

So to add to my eagerness I decided to paint my nails with this gorgeous red glitter by Barry M, this is such a lovely sparkly colour I just love it! Shall definitely be wearing this when Christmas comes around!

Batise Dry Shampoo Review

Batiste dry shampoo, you've all seen and heard about it, and its one of my most used products recently! I had a real issue of having to wash my hair everyday which is so bad for your hair I know.. I just couldn't stand to leave it for a few days but over the last month or so I've gotten into the habit of  washing my hair every other day and using batiste in-between washes and I must say I loves it! I didn't get along with it at first as it just made my hair feel powdery but I stuck with it and now I cant go with out it! My hair can get quite greasy, which is just not nice and this helps soo much in-between washes, also as my hair is quite thin and limp it adds a lot more volume to my hair by just using a little bit. I will definitely be repurchasing another, I also really like the scent of this one and will be trying out some of the other scents too!

Turning to rags and giving the commodities a rain check

1. Denim shirts-Glamorous

I am absolutely loving denim shirts this season, especially this dark wash studded shirt from glamorous,  a key piece for winter. 

2. Maxi Skirt- River Island

This maxi skirt is just soo pretty, i love maxi skirts in the winter teamed with a chunky jumper!

3. Jumper-Glamorous

Jumpers are my go to for winter and I have my eye on this one. I just love the detail the studs add to a simple jumper. 

4. Top-River Island

Your basic everyday tee with a twist, the detail just adds that extra something to this top and can easily be dressed up or down. 

5. Ear rings- River Island

Crosses look like they will never go out of trend and these dark silver cross earring are ideal for any outfit and for £3 a total bargain! 

6. Boots- Daisy Street

I cant deny my love for boots.. I'm obsessed. And these ones i have fell for, i simply love them. 

Halloween Nails

Hello!

Over the last few days I've been really getting in to Halloween so I've done a few Halloween nails for you!

This one is like dripping blood, I basically did was three to four dots half way down the nails, all different lengths and did lines from the dots to the tips of my nails where I joined it all up and your left with this blood dripping effect, ideal for Halloween!

On These nails I used a  black liquid eye liner with a thin tip to draw the cobweb shape on to my nails and sealed It by using a top coat. I really liked using the eye liner to create this, and shall use it more often in some more nails of the day!

The Autumn Tag

Hello Lovelies!

Ive spotted this Autumn tag going around and thought I have my go and let you know a few of my autumn favs! 

Favourite Autumn lip product? 

I'm only getting into lipstick but for this time of the year I would go for more darker lipsticks such as burgundy or possibly deep red colour. I hope to pick some autumn lipsticks up soon!

Favourite Autumn nail polish?

 I am loving mostly dark colours on my nails especially Barry Ms indigo which is such a pretty dark navy with a purple hint and also Barry Ms raspberry at this time of year its my go to nail polish for autumn. 

Favourite Starbucks Autumn drink? 

I don't have a favourite starbucks but I'd say a cappucino or their hot chocolate, both are scrummy. 

Favourite Autumn candle? 

I don't particularly have a favourite candle or burn candles that often but I love vanilla. 

Favourite Autumn scarf, accessory etc? 

Favorite autumn accessory would be a big chunky scarf. I feel the cold so easily and a cosy scarf is key for those freezing days that will be here shortly!

Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze?

 I would probably pick a haunted house! I've always wanted to stay in a haunted house for the night.

Favourite Halloween movie? 

Hocus Pocus always watched it when I was little and just love it! 

What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

 This year I'm being a vampire as I have a dress that would be perfect for a vampire look!

What are your favourite things about autumn? 

The change in the weather, chunky cosy jumpers, layering, boots, I just love autumn/winter fashion. The cold brisk mornings, rainy lazy days, and the relaxed feeling you get at this time of the year. Autumn/winter is by far my favourite season.
